This article explains how to schedule reports in the Cye Exposure Management Platform — one-time or recurring — and how to manage your existing schedules.
Overview
Scheduling lets you automatically generate reports that capture your organization's security posture at specific points in time, and deliver them to stakeholders. You can schedule a report once or on a recurring basis, and view it in the platform or have it delivered by email.

How scheduling works
A schedule is defined by a scheduler — a set of rules covering:
Which template the report uses
When the report is created (date and time)
Whether it runs once or on a recurring basis
Optional email delivery to selected recipients
Once it runs, the report can be opened on the Reports page, downloaded as a PDF, or shared by email. Scheduled reports reflect the exact data available at the moment they run.
Set up a schedule
Start a new schedule from either of two places:
On the Reports page, click Create report > Schedule.
On the Report Scheduler page, click Create schedule, then select a report template.
Then fill in the scheduler details:
Scheduler name — keep the default or enter your own.
Recipients — add Cye platform members (they get an email link and must log in to view), and/or external emails (they receive a PDF copy with no login — these PDFs are not password-protected, so share with care).
If you don't add recipients, the report is still created and appears on the Reports page when the schedule runs.
Schedule a one-time report
Schedule a one-time report
Set the single date and time the report should be created:
Click the date picker icon to choose the day.
Click the time picker icon to choose the time (your organization's time zone applies).
Then click Save as draft to keep it without activating, or Schedule to activate. Once scheduled, the report is generated at the chosen time and delivered to any recipients.
Create a recurring schedule
Create a recurring schedule
On the Report Scheduler page, choose Create schedule > Recurring, then select a template.
Choose how often the report runs:
Daily — every day or every X days; optional start/end dates; a time (your time zone).
Weekly — every week or every X weeks; a specific day and time; start/end dates. Default: today at 23:59.
Monthly — every month or every X months; a specific day (first day, last day, a specific weekday such as the first Monday, or a specific date); a time. Default: first day of the month at 23:59.
Quarterly — runs on the last day of the quarter at 23:59 GMT; set a start and optional end date.
Then click Save as draft or Schedule to activate.
Manage and edit schedules
Manage and edit schedules
Open the Report Scheduler page from the left navigation to see all configured schedules. Click the menu icon next to a schedule for its actions:
Edit — change name, recipients, template, or timing
Duplicate — copy it to rename and customize
Pause — temporarily stop it running
Reactivate — resume a paused schedule
Delete — permanently remove it
Click a schedule to see its Details and History tabs in the right pane.
How you edit depends on the schedule's state:
Active — choose Edit, make changes, then Schedule to apply.
Paused — make edits, then Reactivate to resume.
Draft — adjust the available details, then Schedule to activate.
Expired — Edit and restart it, or Delete it if no longer needed.
Notes
Only Cye platform administrators can create, edit, and manage report schedules.
Times follow your organization's configured time zone.
Paused or expired schedules don't generate reports until reactivated, and edits apply when you click Schedule.
PDFs sent to external recipients are not password-protected — distribute carefully.
Wrap-up / Next Steps
Use a one-time schedule for a single dated snapshot (e.g. a board meeting) and a recurring schedule for ongoing updates.
Manage everything from the Report Scheduler page — pause, edit, or duplicate as priorities change.
